The Panonian sea which was in this area by the time of the Cenozoic era of the earth´s history has slowly disappeared and what remained was types of stone like marl, sandstone, natural gas and oil. Thus we can find at greater depths somewhere around 1,500 m amidst layers of sandstone remains of the once Panonian sea. By way of absorption they now lie in porous stone and since we can excavate them by means of the modern technology these remains well up in form of  thermomineral water.

There was a great excavation search for oil to the south of the village Moravci in 1960 and instead of the "black gold" what sprang up  from the depth of 1,417 m was hot water with the temperature of 72°C. Stepping into the year 1962 and disappointed by not finding oil they stopped the drilling but the locals soon found out the healing effects of the hot water and used it for bathing in an improvised pool. This first pool measured 4×4 m and was 180 cm deep.

Years went by and certain changes happened – sometimes very quickly – and new bathing pools,  sprouted up like mushrooms after rain. Accompanied by hotel and restaurant facilities. The peak of this development mark many new hotels and the apartment village Natural park Terme 3000 together with the modern bathing pools and the golf course.
