General course description In the hilly landscape of Dolenjska, hidden in the silence of the castle park, lies Mokrice Castle, a delight for even the most demanding visitors. The place, which bears the marks of the Romans and medieval lords of the castle, offers quiet enjoyment to all who would like to know it better.
Here, architect Donald Harradine designed a 70 hectare golf course with well-considered positioning of 18 greens, which allows diverse play for both low handicap golfers and beginners who have just finished the Mokrice golf school. Each green has special characteristics and demands special skills. Experienced golfers will find the 5th hole a special challenge.
It is Mokrice's most difficult and many believe one of the most difficult in Europe. Its 290 metres deserve a par 4, and its 90-degree left dogleg is very challenging.

The first stroke has to be very precise and at least 200 metres long to enable the golfer to reach the green with the second stroke. On the left side of the relatively narrow fairway there is a slope, and there is also a water hazard. The Mokrice greens are beautifully set in the Dolenjska hills, offering a magnificent view of the hilly countryside. The play winds up at the club house. The golfers can also enjoy the comfortable and peaceful chambers of the castle.
